Creating Work Queues

Access Work Queues

1. To access Work Queues, on the Fracttal Sidebar select the Work Management interaction module and select Work Queues


Create Work Orders from Work Queues

Work Queues are automatically generated in the Fracttal system from Planned Maintenance Tasks. They are triggered at the time and frequency as set when creating the Planned Maintenance Tasks.

1. In the Work Queues window, hit the Refresh button. Hitting the refresh button will ensure that all recently generated work queues are displayed.


2. Select the Work Queues you wish to convert into an active Work Order by selecting the relevant tick box and clicking the New WO button

3. In the New WO popup screen select the Responsible person dropdrown and choose to add either Inhouse Personnel [employees] or Contractors and Services


for this example we will be using the "Inhouse Personnel" option

4. On the Inhouse Personnel lookup screen select the person from the list you wish to make responsible for this work order

4.1 Double click on the desired Person to add them as the responsible person for the work order

5. fill in the work order details

5.1 The estimated duration set in the Planned Maintenance Task will automatically populate here, adjust the time if needed
5.2 You can determine if you would like multiple work orders to be generated from the created task plan [ for e.g if you have a task plan with multiple tasks you can generate a separate work order for each task]
In this example we will allow all tasks to be added to one work order, select the "All task in one WO" option
5.3.1 Approve by budget

5.3.2 when selecting "depends on another WO" tick box a dropdown will appear where you can select the parent work order that is linked to this new work order you will be generating


6. Configure any resource related tasks by clicking on the icon


6.1 Configure Resources

6.1.1 Click on the Red text to configure each resource
6.1.2 Save once completed

7. Generate Work Order: once the resources have been configured and all the new work order details have been filled in, generate the new work order by clicking the Generate WO button


7.1 An alert window will appear, click Yes to continue


7.2 The new work order, WO # 59 has been create and added to the system. Click OK to confirm


8. The work queue will now be removed from the Work Queues window, the process is now completed. A Work Order has been generated from a Work Queue that has been trigger by a Planned Maintenance 



9. Finally you can view your work order by clicking on the Work Management interaction module and selecting Work Orders


9.1 remember to hit the Refresh icon if needed
9.2 You new Work Order has been created and added to Open Work Orders
