Spare Parts and Supplies Overview

Spare Parts and Supplies can also be referred to as the Master Parts and Supplies List, Parts and Supplies Catalog or Bill of Material (BOM). In a nutshell, it is the complete list of all the raw materials, parts and spares required for maintenance in the organisation.
Note Spare Parts and Supplies acts only as a catalog for creating your parts list in the warehouse, thus no locations and quantities are associated with this Module

1. Access Spare Parts and Supplies
To access the Spare Parts
and Supplies module in Fracttal, in the main menu sidebar open up Assets then
click on Spare Parts and Supplies:
1.1 Spare Parts
and Supplies Module: Clicking on Spare
Parts and Supplies in the main menu side bar will bring up your spare parts and
supplies list/ Bill of Materials [BOM]. The spare parts and supplies list
houses all spare parts and supplies across all sites/ facilities irrespective
of which site the user is associated with or has access to.
2. Spare Parts and Supplies Basic Navigation
2.1. Is Part of Filter: This filter allows you to drill down to the parts and supplies associated to a specific asset. This filter will bring up a list of all
2.2. Custom Field Filter: This filter allows you to call up a list of spares associated with a specific custom field you created against the items
2.3. Add: This is where you click to add new parts and supplies
2.4. Edit: With an spares item selected from the register, clicking the Edit button will allow you to edit the item. Selecting multiple spares and then clicking on Edit will allow you to batch update/ edit the multiple items selected
2.5. Remove: With an item or multiple items selected from the parts and supplies list, clicking Remove allows you to delete these items from the parts and supplies list
*NOTE: Only items without any maintenance, purchase order or spares consumption history can be deleted from the data base
2.6. More Options: Clicking on this button will open up additional options for parts and supplies such as allowing you to print QR codes for the selected item(s), export the parts and supplies list or import parts and supplies to your database
2.7. Equipment Register Columns: The columns of the
spare parts and supplies window in Fracttal is interactive. By clicking and dragging the columns you are able to move the columns around to display your spares how you want to view it. Fracttal also allows you to apply filters on each column which is handy for example if you want to view spares associated with a specific make or model. All columns in the spares window also has additional grouping and sorting options, click on the drop-down of a column to view these additional options
2.8. Tick Box: The check/ tick boxes in spare parts and supplies allows you to select one or multiple spares for editing. By clicking the top most check box in the header will select all the spares in the list you are viewing
